Momentum is a beautiful thing. All edits have been finalized and are already live in ebook format, and should be updated for print by Monday. With that, Guide to Falling has truly wrapped. Edits were slow, and there are a lot of things I wish I knew pre-pub, but it’s been rewarding, and I’m excited to show Wei Qing and Yue Fei in the best light while taking the lessons they taught me into new characters and stories.
As an aside, I ended up purchasing Atticus to help with the version edits, and it made such a difference. I’m definitely planning to write natively there moving forward.
Now the only question is, do I go back for my second novel, Wake (which I also love, but needs a full rewrite, rip), or get going with one of the new half-finished stories that have accumulated over the last few years and come back to Wake later? Not decided.
